BA (Hons) in Tamil & Tamil Language Teaching Degree 2024 – Open University of Sri Lanka

The Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences offers the BA(Hons) in Tamil & Tamil Language Teaching Programme for those who wish to follow a degree to fulfil their career dreams. This programme is meant for those who wish to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the Tamil Language and its Literature.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Obtained a minimum of three passes at the G.C.E (A/L) examination with Tamil as a subject or an equivalent qualification, or
• Obtained a minimum of three passes at the G.C.E (A/L) in the Tamil medium with at least a ‘B’ grade in Tamil and Tamil Literature at the G.C.E (O/L) or equivalent examination, or
• Successfully completed the National Diploma in Teaching ( Tamil Language ) from National Colleges of Education, or
• Any other equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate of the OUSL.
