Aptitude Test for the Selection of candidates for the
Bachelor of Science Honours in Physical Education Degree Programme
Academic Year 2022/2023 | Medium: English
Applications to follow the above Degree Programme are hereby invited from suitable candidates who possess the minimum university admission requirements for the Academic Year 2022/2023 from 07.09.2023 to 19.09.2023.
Eligibility for Admissions
Candidates who wish to follow the Bachelor of Science Honours in Physical Education should have obtained at least three “S” grades in any three subjects at G.C.E (A/L) examination 2022 and eligible for the university admissions for the academic year 2022/2023.
Method of Evaluation
Applications will be evaluated as below:
| Theory Test | To evaluate candidates’ knowledge related to Physical Education |
| Practical Test | To evaluate candidates’ physical fitness and playing ability |
| Previous Sports Achievements | Marks will be allocated for previous sports achievements. (Candidates should submit certified copies of certificates of their highest sports achievements along with their applications). |
Submission of Application
Applicants are hereby requested to apply online through University website on or before 19.09.2023. Payment receipt of application fee and photocopy of the G.C.E (A/L) 2022 result sheet and certified copies of certificates of their highest sports achievements certified by the principal of the school or a Justice of the Peace must be attached along with the application.
The downloaded application form signed by the candidate, the original payment receipt, G.C.E (A/L) 2022 result sheet and certified copies of sports achievement certificaties should be sent under registered cover or handed over to Assistant Registrar, Admissions Branch, University of Jaffna, Ramanathan Road, Thirunelvely by mentioning “Application for Physical Education – 2022/2023” in the left hand corner of the envelope to reach the above address on or before 21.09.2023.
Eligible candidates will receive the Admission Card only via email.
Payment Method
The application fee of Rs.2,000/= may be made in any branch of the Peoples’ Bank in favour of the University of Jaffna Account No. 440002410001667. Please note that payments cannot be made online for this purpose.
The applications of those who do not possess the minimum admission requirements, those who do not accompany the paying-in voucher, the certified photo copy of the G.C.E (A/L) 2022 results sheet or applications received after the closing date will be rejected.
