PRACTICAL APTITUDE TEST

UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/2024

FOR THE SABARAGAMUWA UNIVERSITY OF SRI LANKA (SUSL)

Applications are hereby calling for the Practical Aptitude Test 2024 held to select students for admission to the following degree programmes.

1. B.Sc(Honours) Degree in Sport Sciences & Management(SSM)

2. B.Sc(Honours) Degree in Physical Education (PED)

At least ‘S’ grades in any three subjects at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination held in 2023(Please refer to the Admission handbook 2023/24, Section 2.2.8.20 and Section 2.2.8.19, Page 96 and Page 97).

Candidates who can apply;

– only for the B.Sc.(Honours) Degree Programme in Physical Education (PED)

– only for the B.Sc. (Honours) Degree Programme in Sport Sciences and Management(SSM)

or both degree programs (PED and SSM)

Any single candidate can apply for both the above degree programs by submitting one application (Application fee Rs. 1650.00)and have to mention it in a relevant cage in a given application.

Practical Aptitude Test for B.Sc. (Honours) Degree Programme in Sport Sciences & Management: Subject Code 082

Applicants will not be required to sit for a written examination this time.

1. Practical test components are 35m Sprint, Shuttle run, 1000m run, Standing Broad Jump, Push Ups (Nature of the Push Upstestissame for both male and female candidates), and Sit & Reach Test.

The Practical Aptitude Test will be allocated for the candidate’s achievements in International, National, and Provincial level sports performances. Original certificates of the highest sports achievement obtained within the past five years(from 2019 to 2024)should be brought with certified photocopies when you come to the practical aptitude test. All sports certificates should be certified by the Principal of the School/Divisional Education Director/Provincial Education Director or the Sports Director.

**It is important to bring a medical certificate certified by a recognized MBBS Physician to the aptitude test.

Practical Aptitude Test for B.Sc.(Honours) Degree in Physical Education:

Applicants will not be required to sit for a written examination this time.

Important Notice;

1. Applicants should pay an Aptitude Test fee of Rs.1650.00 for the test to Account Number 0002246976(Bank of Ceylon) in favor of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and send a copy of the receipt along with the application.

A complete application should include the following and before starting the application process be sure to have those documents;

1. Original bank slip and/or practical AptitudeTest 2024paymentvoucher (second copy)

2. A certified Photocopies of G.C.E.(A/L)2024 certificates(certified by the Principal of the School or a Justice of the Peace or Attorney at Law)

3. A certified copy of the National Identity Card (certified by the Principal of the School or a Justice of the Peace or Attorney at Law)

Applicants who wish to sit for the Practical Aptitude Tests at SUSL should submit their application through the above link and need the registered post to reach certified photocopies (on or before 26th July 2024).

“Practical Aptitude Test for B.Sc. in SSM” “Practical Aptitude Test for B.Sc. in PED” or “Practical Aptitude Test for B.Sc. in SSM and PED” should be mentioned on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.

In the Practical Aptitude Test Day,
•    Applicant should bring the original and certified photocopies of the
i.    Advance Level Educational Certificates,
ii.   National Identity Card,
iii. Medical Certificate (certified by the recognized MBBS Physician),
iv. Original paying voucher, and
v.   Bank paying slip (green slip).

• Further, original certificates of the (vi) highest sports achievement obtained within the past five years (from 2018 to 2024) should be bringing with certified photocopies when you come to Practical Aptitude Test.

• All photo copies of certificates should be certified by one of the Principal of the School/Divisional Education Director/Provincial Education Director or the Sports Director.

Admission letters and other relevant information regarding the PracticalAptitude Test will be informed via email have satisfied the admission requirements for the Practical Aptitude Test.
